Musée de l'Annonciade For lovers of paintings

The French Riviera, a region with great incidence of light and colours, has always attracted painters who were inspired by the turquoise water of the Mediterranean Sea and the reddish cliffs.

From the end of the 19th century, Saint-Tropez became a very popular destination for artists and was one of the most active centres of Avant-Garde art at the beginning of the 20th century.

The Musée de l'Annonciade in Saint-Tropez houses quite some collections from this period, featuring work of artists who fell in love with the French Riviera, such as Signac, Matisse, Derain, etc.
