Thanks to the bay’s clear water and the unspoiled treasures of the sea bottom, scuba diving is quite popular in Cavalaire.
The most famous spots can be found at the destroyer called Espignole, which sank in 1903. This 56 metres long wreck is inhabited by all kinds of fauna today (crustaceans, conger eels, etc.) and the metal structure is now covered by sponges, making it a stunning spot.
The wreck of the Togo, a 3-mast freighter from 1882, has become home to red sea fan. It is one of the best diving spots in the Bay of Cavalaire.
