Fréjus A great historical heritage

Fréjus, a Roman town founded by Julius Cesar in the year 49, still counts a number of remains from the past, such as the amphitheatre and the aqueduct.

Centuries later, the town has become a lively beach resort, known for its 7 km of sand beaches and 2,5 kilometer of calanques between Fréjus and Saint-Aygulf. The nature base François Léotard of 135 ha, including 85 ha of protected nature, is an oasis for outdoor sports like roller blading, football, handball, skate boarding, etc.
